We have a skilled and dedicated team of occupational, physical and speech therapists. Your post-acute (after your hospital stay) goals become our goals as our therapists work with you to get you back to living life how you want and where you want.
About therapy
For many patients who join us right after surgery, therapy will start within a day or so of the transfer from the hospital. For others who are dealing with an illness, we will focus first on “Pre-habilitation” which includes pain management, nutrition, medication management and general mobilization. This focus sets the stage for intensive therapy when patients are ready to tolerate a more rigorous and focused schedule. Pre-habilitation may be a few days or a few weeks.
Recovery is key
We look forward to helping you set realistic goals for your stay. We believe the more you know and are involved in your plan of care, the quicker you will recover. For this stage of your recovery we will design services for you and be prepared to handle both the expected and unexpected that may occur during your recovery, thereby reducing the need to return to the hospital.
